The Third-Person Singular Object Pronoun in the ìlàj? Dialect of Yoruba

Abstract
This paper provides a simple descriptive account of the covert use of the third-person singular object pronoun in the ìlàj? dialect of Yoruba. The paper identifies the operation of the covert object and justifies its recovery through the verbal tone. The lowering of the last tone on the verb denotes the presence of a covert third-person singular pronoun in the dialect.
